Bridgewater State College Bridgewater, MA
Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, the Center for Technological Applications is a regional facility dedicated to the development, application, and dissemination of applied technologies for teaching. It is part of a larger project that includes a satellite receiving station and a new campus-wide computer network. The state-of-the-art classroom building was planned and constructed as an addition to an existing facility. The new entrance to the adjoining building is an atrium lobby between the two. The Moakley Center is a "Signature Building" on the Bridgewater campus. It houses lecture halls, a computer laboratory, professional level television production studio, research and development facilities, exhibition spaces, and classrooms with a variety of features designed to allow for the application of technologies to learning and teaching.
