A wing concept was used to address wetland conservation issues, utilize small portions of the site, to provide distinct educational zones organized by function and create open courtyards for sense of orientation. The facility includes child development rooms, a 750 seat auditorium, a field house with a 1/11 mile track for interscholastic as well as community use; a radio and TV studio and a telecommunications network including voice, data and video capabilities. The new school is on a 70-acre site, which allows for ample parking, soccer, baseball fields, football fields and tennis courts. The library is located on the third floor to isolate it from disturbances and capture views of the peaceful surroundings.
